FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Q. Which countries can Bimmy Japan work with?
Southeast Asia is our core strength. Across Southeast Asia, we can propose a wide range of channels — department stores, premium supermarkets catering to affluent consumers, and restaurants. Depending on the item, we also have connections in East Asia, North America, and Europe, so please feel free to reach out.
Q. Can you propose products other than food?
Beyond food, we have a track record handling daily necessities, general goods, and home and living items. We’ll walk you through the channels available to you and work through the details together.
Q. What kinds of food products do you handle?
As of 2026, we work with over 100 companies and 3,000+ SKUs. We mainly handle processed foods, and can accommodate all three temperature zones — ambient, chilled, and frozen. Most of our products carry a shelf life of 180 days or more.
For our most popular categories, we have a network broad enough to propose a wide range of options, and we can tailor price points and terms to fit each country’s market.
Example: for matcha alone, we have a network of over 20 companies. Whether you need retail grade or food-service grade, ceremonial grade or grade for processed food use, we’ll put together a lineup to match your specific needs.
Q. How do delivery and payment work?
At the trial stage, we generally introduce you to buyers who can work through indirect trade. You ship to a domestic warehouse that we designate, and settlement is also handled domestically with us, in yen. This means you can get started easily, as a natural extension of your existing domestic transactions.
Q. Can you help develop an original brand?
[For food manufacturers] We can support everything from strategy for your target countries and regions through to concrete design and planning proposals. From overall brand strategy to creating export-ready label designs, we tailor our support to what you need. Please feel free to reach out.
[For overseas buyers] We can develop original specifications and original brands, hearing out the categories you’d like to carry along the way. We provide end-to-end support, from selecting makers that meet each country’s regulations through to handling the paperwork involved in import and export.
Q. Can we request work within a specific, limited scope?
Of course. We can take on just the import/export work, just trial marketing, or just content production (videos, articles, and other promotional materials only) — whatever scope fits what you need. Please feel free to reach out with whatever you’re working through.
